Jimbaran Bay is a wide, west-facing sand-bottom beach break (Muaya / Kedonganan) with soft, slow rolling whitewater, well suited to first-timers and kids, no reef and almost no current at the main Muaya stretch. It draws a much thinner crowd than Kuta or Canggu, sits right next to the seafood-warung and Four Seasons/Movenpick strip, and works best at low-to-mid tide in the calmer morning hours during the dry season (Apr-Oct); it can go flat or mushy when small.
